Excellent service from Toufik. We had a difficult and time-sensitive issue with our WooCommerce checkout involving Stripe and 3D Secure payments. Toufik responded quickly, understood the problem straight away and took a careful, methodical approach to diagnosing it. What I particularly appreciated was that he didn't just start changing things blindly. He checked the Stripe configuration, caching, checkout settings and payment flow, carried out test transactions, and made sure everything was working correctly. Communication was excellent throughout, and he explained what he was doing clearly. We were back up and running quickly, which was extremely important for an ecommerce business. Very knowledgeable with WordPress, WooCommerce and Stripe, professional and trustworthy. I wouldn't hesitate to use Toufik again or recommend him to anyone experiencing WooCommerce payment or checkout problems. 5 stars — highly recommended.Posted on Google![]()

I had a great experience with Core Web UK. Mahdi has been very helpful, professional and honest throughout the process. He took time to understand my business, my website goals and my SEO needs properly. What I appreciate most is that he explains everything clearly and gives practical advice, not just design work. He is helping me improve the website structure, local SEO, speed and overall professional look of the site. Highly recommended for anyone looking for web design and SEO support from someone who actually cares about the business.
Make your services easy to understand, show customers why they should choose you, and make it simple to call, message or ask for a quote.
Core Web UK is a small, owner-run web design studio based in Croydon, South London. We design and build websites for businesses across London. We make sure each site looks professional, works well on phones and helps people find the information they need. We plan the layout, pages and wording around what your business offers and what your customers ask before getting in touch. If you are looking for a web design company in London, you can speak directly with the person working on your project. We explain your options, agree the work and provide a written quote before we begin.
If you are still working out scope and budget, UK website costs depend on the size and complexity of the project, while a clear website brief helps suppliers quote the same scope. You can also compare realistic website build times and the checks needed before a website goes live.
We shape the design around your colours, logo, services and customers. A local trades business needs a different journey from a shop taking orders or a consultant explaining a specialist service.
Your page plan starts with what customers need to know: what you do, who you help, where you work, what it costs and how to get in touch.

Clear page layouts, readable text and familiar navigation. Your service and the next step should be easy to find on a phone.

The working parts behind the design: page building, forms, menus and the features agreed in your quote.

Help with updates, backups and technical issues after launch. Ongoing care is quoted separately so you know what is covered.
Start with the task your customer needs to complete. That helps us choose the right pages and features.
Explain your services, show examples of your work and make it easy to call or request a quote. A focused site suits trades, local services, consultants and new businesses.
Keep the parts that already work and improve what gets in the way. We review your content, mobile layout, enquiry journey and existing pages before recommending a rebuild.
Let customers browse products and place orders. Product numbers, delivery rules, payment options and stock requirements need to be scoped before we price an online shop.
Give a specific service or campaign a clear landing page. Tell us whether visitors need to request an appointment, use an existing booking tool or pay online.
Every project is different, but most of our clients fall into one of the ranges below. This helps you understand what to expect before we talk.
From £999
For small local businesses that need a clean, fast website.
£999 – £2,000
For growing businesses that want better visibility and conversions.
From £2,000
For eCommerce, booking systems, or custom functionality
These are guide prices. Before you commit, we confirm the full amount payable, any taxes and agreed extras. Hosting, domain renewals and paid software are included only when listed in your quote. Optional SEO and care plans are priced separately.
Standard website projects start with a 30% deposit, unless your quote says otherwise. The remaining balance is due after completion and approval. Additional chargeable work needs your agreement first.
The number of pages is only one part. Copywriting, product uploads, bookings, payment setup, moving old content and custom features also affect the work involved.
A five-page site using ready content is a different project from eight pages that each need new writing and a booking system.
Your quote sets out the pages, features, content responsibilities, review stages, testing and launch work. We confirm the total, any taxes and any extra costs before you agree.
We ask for your agreement before adding chargeable work.
We explain the costs for hosting, domain renewal, paid plugins, booking tools and ongoing care. These are included only where the quote says so. Payment providers may charge transaction fees separately.
We explain which costs repeat and who is responsible for each account.
Our standard terms use a 30% deposit, with the balance on completion and approval, unless your quote sets out a different arrangement.
Rights to agreed bespoke work transfer after full payment. Third-party themes, plugins and other licensed items keep their own licence terms.
Service bookings, trade enquiries, local customers and publishing.

A website for a Croydon barbershop, bringing its identity, service information and contact details together.
The visual layout introduces the business and gives visitors a straightforward way to find out more before getting in touch.

Fast EPC brings several property services into one website, including domestic and commercial EPCs, floor plans and safety-related services.
The public site includes a price list and a booking journey that asks for the property, service and appointment details. These features give customers a more useful route from reading about a service to arranging it.
Service information and appointment details sit within the same customer journey.

GT Max Tyres is a wholesale business in Beckenham. Its website presents tyre brands and product categories and gives trade customers a route to registration and the trade portal.
New trade customers can find registration information, while existing account holders can access the trade portal.

We created a publishing website where readers can find articles, move between topics and discover more stories. The layout puts the news first, with clear menus and pages that are comfortable to read on desktop and mobile.
Readable article pages and consistent navigation help readers move between stories and explore more of the publication.

We built a WordPress website for a London locksmith serving West and North West London. Customers can find emergency locksmith services, read reviews and tap a phone button to call directly from their mobile. Local service pages explain the areas covered and the help available.

We designed a website for a London air conditioning business that works with homes and commercial properties. The site explains installation, servicing and repairs, shows photographs of completed work and makes it easy to request a survey or speak to the team.
Tell us what your website needs to do. We’ll discuss the design, features and budget with you.
The quote defines the final scope. These are the areas we plan with you so the website is useful from its first day.
A clear homepage, service information, business details and a way to contact you. We agree whether you also need individual service pages, a portfolio, articles or product pages.
Consistent colours, fonts and image choices. Layouts adapt for phones, tablets and desktop screens, with readable text and buttons that are easy to use.
We organise page titles, headings, links between relevant pages and image descriptions so visitors and search engines can understand the website. We agree who will supply and check the writing, photographs, prices and business details before the site goes live. Ongoing SEO work is explained and priced separately.
We build and test your forms, menus and agreed booking or shop features. We also agree the access and guidance you need to manage the finished website.
A useful website answers the questions a customer asks before contacting you.
We start by learning about your main service, the people you want to reach and what you want them to do. That might be calling, requesting a quote, booking a visit or buying online. We then plan the pages, menu and information so visitors can understand your offer and take that action without searching around.
For a service business, this often means clear service pages, genuine project examples, prices or useful quote guidance, and contact details within easy reach. For a shop, it means product information, delivery details and a clear checkout.

A visitor needs to understand your offer and feel comfortable taking the next step.
We look at button wording, form length, phone links and the information around them. A form should ask for enough detail to help you respond, without making the first enquiry feel like hard work.
Before launch, we test the agreed enquiry routes from clicking the button to receiving the message, so you know where customer enquiries will arrive.

WordPress lets you manage your website’s content. The design controls what people see; development makes the pages, forms and other features work.
We work with WordPress and Elementor. We can plan an editing setup for the changes you need most often, such as service text, images and new pages.
The right choice depends on who will update the site and how much layout control they need.
You may need a WordPress developer in London for improvements rather than a new design. Send us the URL and explain the problem: a broken layout, slow pages, a form issue or a feature you want to add.
We review the existing setup before recommending the next step.
WooCommerce adds shop features to WordPress. Enquiry forms and booking tools serve different needs, so we choose them around how your business takes orders or appointments.
Tell us which software your website needs to connect to. We check compatibility, account access and ongoing fees before confirming the integration.
A distinctive website can use established tools. We explain whether the work uses Elementor, an existing theme, plugins or custom code, and what you will be able to edit.
That gives you a clearer picture of the build and its future upkeep.
Your website brings design, content, features and hosting together. We explain how each part supports your business and who will look after it.
Your words, images, headings and page layout help visitors understand the offer. Clear labels and a simple menu make it easier to find the right service.
WordPress manages the content. Elementor can provide visual page editing, while selected plugins add functions such as forms or a shop. We choose features around your needs and explain how they will be maintained.
Hosting keeps the site online. Image sizes, caching, themes, plugins and third-party scripts all affect speed. HTTPS, sensible account access, updates and backups help protect the site.
Search engines need to find and understand your pages. Analytics can show useful actions, while Search Console reports search visibility. We agree any tracking setup and show the difference between visits, clicks and real enquiries.
If your current website has useful pages, links or enquiries, those need attention before the new site goes live.
We review your existing pages, services and available search data before planning the redesign. Useful content and page addresses are kept where appropriate, with a clearer message and layout around them.
When a page address changes, we plan a redirect to the relevant new page so visitors following an old link can still find useful information. We also check internal links, images and downloads.
We agree who manages your domain, hosting, email and connected tools before moving the website. A backup and checks of the agreed forms, bookings and payment features help prepare the site for launch.
We check key pages and enquiry routes again after launch. We plan the move carefully, although search rankings can change when a website is redesigned.
Start with a free website audit before deciding how to change your existing site.
Simple sites can take a few weeks. Larger builds take longer. We agree the timeline around the pages, features, content and feedback required.
We discuss your customers, services, current site and budget. The page list and feature list become a clear scope, with costs, responsibilities and an expected timeline.
We plan how people will move through the site and review the design direction with you. Bring your logo, photos and existing copy; tell us where you need help creating content.
We build the agreed pages and features, then gather your feedback. Your quote sets out the review stages and included revisions, so you know when to give feedback and what happens next.
We test layouts, links, forms and any agreed checkout or booking journey. Once approved, we launch and confirm access, ongoing costs and the support arrangement.
Share your ideas and get a quote for the pages and features you need.

Your website needs to explain what you offer and help people take the next step. We bring clear service pages, straightforward navigation and search-friendly page structure into the design.
We help visitors understand your services, where you work and how you can help them. Your real projects and customer feedback give them useful reasons to get in touch.
Clear menus and well-organised pages help visitors reach the information they need. Whether they are comparing services or looking for your number, the next step stays within easy reach.
We agree the SEO setup as part of your build, including page titles, headings and checks that help search engines find and understand your pages. For a redesign, we also plan what happens to your existing page addresses.
Once your website is live, you can add ongoing SEO to improve its content and search visibility over time. We keep that work separate from the build so you can choose the support that fits your goals and budget.
A page can look finished while a form, link or mobile menu still needs work. We check the agreed features around the tasks your customers need to complete.
We test the agreed forms, phone links and email notifications so customers have a working route to your business. You know where new enquiries will arrive.
We review mobile layouts, readable text and how people move through the site, including keyboard use and labelled forms. If you need a formal accessibility audit, we agree that separately.
We review the pages with you before launch, from contact details and service information to images and prices. We also agree the privacy information and consent setup needed for the tools on your site.
You receive the agreed access and handover guidance, with clear responsibilities for updates, renewals and support. Any ongoing service and its cost are explained before you commit.
Core Web UK is based in Croydon, South London. Toufik Beladi is your point of contact for discussing the website and its requirements.
You can show us your current site, explain what is frustrating you and ask straightforward questions about the work. We’ll discuss what is worth keeping and what needs to change.
We work with local services, trades, start-ups and growing businesses. You do not need specialist knowledge or a technical brief to ask for help. Tell us what your business does, the customers you want to reach, whether you already have a website and roughly what you want to spend. We can talk through the options and explain what is realistic for your budget.

Core Web UK works with businesses in Croydon, Bromley, Sutton, Purley, Beckenham, Wallington, Mitcham, Coulsdon, Thornton Heath, Caterham and Norbury. We also build websites for businesses in central, north, east and west London, and in Southwark areas such as Bankside, Bermondsey, Peckham, Camberwell and Elephant and Castle. Most projects run by phone, email, WhatsApp and video calls, so the way we work is the same wherever you are in London.
Costs, WordPress, ownership and what happens next.
Most Core Web UK business websites cost £999–£2,000, depending on scope. Shops, larger sites and complex features need a separate quote. Ask for the total build price and any recurring costs before comparing offers.
Yes. Send the page list and explain what each page needs to do. Five pages of ready content can take less work than five pages needing new copy, special layouts and booking features. We quote for the actual work, not only the page count.
Web design plans how your website looks and how visitors use it. It covers page layout, colours, type, images and navigation. Development turns that plan into working pages and features.
We work with local services, trades, start-ups and growing businesses across Croydon, London and the wider UK. Our project examples include a barbershop, property assessment services, a trade supplier, a publishing website, a London locksmith and an air conditioning business.
We provide web design, website development, SEO, website maintenance, performance improvements and urgent website repairs. Your quote sets out which services are included in your project.
A simple business website can take a few weeks. Content writing, extra pages, shop setup, integrations and feedback can extend that time. We agree the scope and expected schedule before work starts.
A web designer focuses on layout, brand and how people use the site. A WordPress developer handles how the site is built and how its features work. If you are unsure, send your current URL and the problem you want to solve.
Yes, an agreed WordPress editing setup can let you change everyday content such as text and images. We explain which changes you can make and what needs technical help. We agree the handover guidance as part of your project.
Yes. We can review the current design, content and technical setup first. A focused repair or redesign may be enough. A full rebuild makes more sense when the existing structure cannot support what you need.
We can discuss WooCommerce, enquiry forms and booking tools as part of the project. Send your product numbers, payment needs, delivery rules or appointment process so we can check the right setup and quote accurately.
You retain rights to the content you provide. Rights to agreed bespoke work transfer after full payment under our terms. Themes, plugins, images and other third-party items may have separate licences. We explain those details in your quote.
Only where your quote says they are. Domain renewals, hosting, paid tools and ongoing care can be separate recurring costs. We confirm the arrangement and who manages the accounts before you commit.
Yes. Our website maintenance and support service covers ongoing care for existing WordPress, Elementor and WooCommerce websites. The chosen plan sets out the updates, backups, monitoring and technical help included.
Yes. For a current technical problem that needs urgent attention, use our emergency website fixes service. Tell us what is broken and when you first noticed it.
We agree the search setup in your quote, such as page titles, headings, internal links and indexing checks. Ongoing keyword research, content publishing and SEO campaigns are separate unless included. A new website does not automatically rank first.
No. We can make your content clear, accessible and easier for search systems to understand, but Google and AI services decide what they show. Nobody can guarantee that every AI system will recommend a business.
We agree this before work starts. Existing service information, genuine photos and examples of your work are useful. If you need writing, image sourcing or new branding, include it in the brief so it can be priced.
Yes. Core Web UK is based at 125 Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon, CR0 6PU, in South London. We work with businesses across London and can discuss projects by phone, email or online.
Compare relevant work, the named scope, total costs, ownership, editing access and support. Ask how the provider tests enquiries and handles old page addresses during a redesign. A useful quote answers these practical questions.
Send your business name, current website if you have one, main services, rough page list, required features, budget and preferred launch date. Tell us what you want visitors to do. You do not need a technical brief to start.
Most price by the work involved, not just the number of pages. Our business websites usually cost £999 to £2,000, and starter sites start from £999. Shops, booking systems and custom features start from £2,000. Before you compare London web design companies, ask each one for the total build price, what is included and any monthly costs. You can ask us for a written quote before you decide.
Yes. Toufik designs the site and also builds it, so you speak to the person doing the work. We build in WordPress and Elementor, set up forms, menus, WooCommerce shops and booking tools, and fix problems on existing sites. If you need a London web developer for one job, such as a broken form or a slow page, send us your website address and what is wrong.
A rebuild is priced like a new website, so most cost £999 to £2,000. Bigger sites, shops and custom features start from £2,000. The price depends on how many pages move across, how much new writing you need and which features stay. A free website audit is a good first step, as it shows what is worth keeping before you pay for anything.
Redesign it if the site works but looks dated or is hard to use. Rebuild it if the setup is broken, slow or cannot do what you need. A redesign keeps the useful pages and changes the look and layout. A rebuild starts again on a new setup. Our guide on website redesign vs a new website explains the signs for each.
It can, if old pages are lost or moved without care. We list your current pages first, keep the useful ones and send any moved address to the right new page. We then check key pages after launch. Rankings can still move for a while after a big change, and nobody can promise they will not. Our website move SEO checklist shows the steps we follow.
Yes. We build websites for businesses across the London Borough of Southwark, including Bankside, Bermondsey, Peckham, Camberwell, Dulwich and Elephant and Castle. We are based in nearby Croydon. Projects are run by phone, email, WhatsApp and video call, and you deal with Toufik from start to finish. Prices are the same as anywhere else in London, from £999.
Each website includes planning, design, building, mobile layouts, basic SEO setup, working forms and call buttons, testing and launch. Your written quote lists the exact pages and features. Hosting, domain renewals, paid plugins and ongoing care are only included when the quote says so. You can see finished sites in our portfolio.
You speak to the same person every time, and that person builds your site. There are no account managers passing messages along. A small studio suits local services, trades, start-ups and growing businesses that want a clear price and quick replies. A large agency may suit very big projects that need a big team. Ask any supplier who will actually do the work.
Yes. We can look after WordPress, Elementor and WooCommerce sites that someone else built. We check the setup, updates, backups and access first, then tell you what needs fixing. Ongoing help is covered by our website care plans from £179 a month. If the site is broken right now, use our emergency website fixes service, from £120.
Yes, as a separate monthly service. Every new website gets a basic SEO setup, such as page titles, headings and links between pages. Ongoing work, like local pages, reviews and your Google Business Profile, is part of our local SEO plans from £349 a month. Google's own SEO starter guide is a useful free read. No one can guarantee rankings.
